regulations

  1. The project "Io Photo"by Mo.Sa. Editions Ltd, hereinafter referred to as Mo.Sa. "is a photographic collection that wants to tell, explain and promote artistic expression for sharing ideas and techniques related to the universe of photography.
  2. Joining the project is totally free.
  3. Photos will be published in an elegant hardcover book sold at bookstores or purchasable online on: www.iofoto.net
  4. Participants, either professionals or amateurs, regardless of their nationality must be over 18 years old.
  5. To join the project you must go onto the site www.iofoto.net and provide all personal and biographical data, fill in the appropriate form in the "subscribe now" section.
  6. After receipt of all photographic material Mo.Sa. reserves the right to send any participant a special e-mail response wherein acceptance or rejection of such material will be notified. This message shall contain appropriate reasons not likely to be challenged.
  7. Pictures received with untruthful or unreliable entry / registration data will be automatically rejected.
  8. Participants must be in possession of all rights and permission prerequisites for represented items (goods, people and private places ...).
  9. On the one hand, participants declare to retain royalties of their original work, digital acquisitions, and processing of sent images with all copyrights reserved for any piece of work delivered to "Mo.Sa”; but on the other, they give up to Mo.Sa the right of non-exclusive use of images and their possible processing, by authorizing the publication of their pictures by any means or support (paper and/or digital) as well as the right of using images for promotional, editorial and documentary purposes; furthermore, while author's permission is not compulsory, the name of the same must be explicitly indicated once material is published.
  10. Participants waive the payment of copyrights arising from the sale of the book.
  11. Participants shall inform all possible interested parts (each person represented) according to Article 10 of Law 675/96 and subsequent changes introduced by Decree with the force of Law n. 196, June 30, 2003, and shall make sure they have a valid model release. They therefore must attach pictures to relative model release. Under no circumstances sent images will contain data classified as sensitive.
  12. Participants must be authors and owners of sent images and cannot upload images representing buildings, movable property and / or real estate or sites protected by an intellectual property right. Thus "Mo.Sa cannot be held responsible for disputes as to authorship of an image or any other controversy over photographs.
  13. Images must be substantially unpublished. Put it in another way, they shall not have been used in other previous similar initiatives.
  14. Mo.Sa. reserves the right not to accept images whose realization is presumed to have caused damage or injury to a represented person or not in line with the spirit of the project.
  15. Authors participating in this project must stick with one of the proposed themes: Women - Food - Light.
  16. Participants may submit up to 3 photos for each theme.
  17. Photos will be analyzed and evaluated by "Mo.Sa." for publication. They should meet all technical requirements listed below and be in line with the exact topic for which they were sent.
  18. Amongst all, the best picture will be published on the cover alongside its author’s biography.
  19. Sent material must be accompanied by a title, a short presentation text (even few lines are enough) and some biographical notes.
  20. Any decision taken by "Mo.Sa "over the evaluation and selection of any photo to be published on the cover, cannot be discussed or be subject to mail correspondence.
  21. Date of publication of collection will be displayed on www.iofoto.net when expected number of all participants is being reached. "Mo.Sa." reserves the right to modify this date for reasons beyond their control.
  22. "Mo.Sa." ensures the utmost care of collected material but take no responsibility for the loss of the aforesaid material for reasons beyond their control. All collected photos, though not published, will not be returned.

Images

  • Photos must be in JPEG format.
  • Photos can be either in colour or black and white.
  • Image resolution must be 300 DPI and must not be less than 3508 x 2480 pixels.
  • Maximum file size: 30 MB.
  • Files shall not be re-sized. You can only submit files in their original resolution.
  • Participants must be authors and owners of all content uploaded onto the site.
  • Participants must attach a model release valid for any person represented in the image.
  • You shall not upload images representing logos or trademarks protected.
  • You shall not upload images representing buildings, goods or places protected by an intellectual property right.

How to send images

  • You can send your photos and related model release from www.iofoto.net; get access into your personal area and use up your tool of uploading..
  • Model release shall be in JPEG or PDF format.
  • Images not complying with the afore-mentioned rules will be refused.
  • Joining the project ‘IO FOTO’ requires full acceptance of the above-stated regulations.

Processing personal data according to decree n.196/2003

In accordance with the approved art. 10 of Law 675/96, "Protection of people and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data" and later modified by Decree. June 30, 2003, No 196, “Participants’ personal data as contained in their registration form, collected and processed by computer, will be used for the project "IO FOTO" to identify both authors and relative photos when these will be published on the various circumstances, and for any other communication about the project. Any participant has the right to access to his personal data at any time and exercise the rights to supplement, amend, cancel, etc.. as stated by art. 13 of the above mentioned Act, in favour of a full holder of the process on the subject of personal data.
Mo.Sa Editions Ltd. is deemed to be sole holder of the above-mentioned process
